이 곡은 영국 포크록/프로그레시브록 그룹인 Strawbs가 1973년 발매한 Bursting at the Seams음반에 실린 곡으로, 1973년 영국 챠트 2위까지 오른 곡으로 스트롭스 최대의 히트곡중에 하나입니다. 지금까지 발매한 음반이 20장이 넘는 그룹인데, 영국에서 스트롭스는 원힛원더 그룹정도로 취급되고 있습니다. 이 곡의 분위기는 그들 음악과 많이 달랐는데, 리더였던 David Cousins는 Richard Hudson과 John Ford가 만든 이 곡이 그룹에 그다지 어울리지 않는다고 생각을 했었다고 합니다. 이 곡에 대해서 일부 사람들은 냉소적으로 노조를 비판한 곡이라는 평을 내렸지만, 그룹 멤버들은 그런 견해를 부인하는 편이었는데, 꽤 최근에 David Cousins는 이 곡이 노조에 대해서 풍자적이고 반노조적인 곡이었냐는 질문에 대해서 부정을 하지 않았다고 합니다. 어째든 그런 원래의 의도와는 별 상관없이 이 곡은 70년대이후 영국 노조 및 노동 운동에 있어서 중요한 곡으로 자리를 잡아서, 노조에 대한 자부심을 표현하는 대표적인 곡으로 꼽히게 됩니다.
